Change is hard, whether motivating an individual or transforming an organization. Efforts to initiate and sustain change are not always successful. Implementation of change efforts requires careful planning to increase their success. Human-centric design concepts are useful in developing and implementing sustainable changes. Armed with an understanding of the basic principles of change management and human-centric design, clinicians can create a vision for a better tomorrow and have the tools to make it a reality.
