La micropérimétrie, association de périmétrie et de rétinographie monoculaire, permet de définir la localisation et la qualité de la fixation, ainsi que la sensibilité rétinienne centrale. Ces éléments sont d’une extrême importance dans la réhabilitation des patients atteints de maculopathie. Le micropérimètre constitue un outil de choix et un gain de temps considérable pour l’orthoptiste, dans le suivi du patient, et apporte de nouvelles données quant au bénéfice de la réhabilitation orthoptique.

Microperimetry, the association of perimetry and monocular retinography, allows localization and quality of fixation, together with central retinal sensitivity, to be defined. These elements are extremely important in the rehabilitation of patients who suffer from maculopathy. The microperimeter is a key tool and significant time saver for orthoptists, in the follow-up of the patient, and provides new data in terms of the benefit of orthoptic rehabilitation.
