Identifying obscure appendiceal polyps: the “deflated lumen” technique - 17/08/11
| Commentary Indeed, it is the responsibility of all endoscopists to examine fully all luminal surfaces. The technique described here is interesting and could serve well in any area of the GI tract where decompression might bring otherwise dilated areas into better view; where mucosal folding might be altered to permit more complete viewing; and, as in this case, where intussusception, even when minor, allows previously unviewed areas to be seen.
