Posttraumatic Headache - 02/09/11
Résumé |
Head pain is expected as an immediate consequence of head trauma, but in most instances the headache is of short duration. The term posttraumatic headache usually (and in this article) is synonymous with the term chronic posttraumatic headache and is applied to headaches that persist for months or years after the trauma. Chronic posttraumatic headache usually occurs without associated skull fracture; the incidence of chronic posttraumatic headache, paradoxically, is inversely proportional to the intensity of head trauma.19
