NEW TECHNIQUES IN EYEBROW SURGERY - 06/09/11
Résumé |
Significant advances in eyebrow elevation surgery have occurred over the past 10 years spurred on in part by the public's general desire for less invasive procedures with faster healing times.15 Standard eyebrow elevation techniques include the direct, midforehead, and coronal lift, with incisions of varying length and location.18 Performed for both functional and aesthetic reasons, the endoscopic brow lift represents the most advanced eyebrow and forehead elevation technique. Brow muscle dissection and release can be carried out through significantly smaller incisions and with endoscopic visualization, resulting in less potential morbidity.2 A thorough understanding of the regional anatomy, the importance of brow position in eyelid surgery, and proper patient selection are crucial to the success of the endoscopic brow lift.
