A young man was found to have an abdominal aortic aneurysm 18 years after the apparent resolution of an umbilical artery catheter-associated aortic thrombosis. This report underlines the need for long-term follow-up studies of infants with catheter-related vascular thrombosis. (J Pediatr 1998;132:874-5)
