Laparoscopic colon resection represents a spectrum of procedures done using videotelescopic assistance to remove a portion of the colon. The majority of these are technically laparoscopy-assisted procedures, with a portion of the operation, most frequently the anastomosis, being done extracorporeally.^{1 Ballantyne G.H.
