This article reviews cystic ovarian lesions, with a focus on sonographic characteristics. Ultrasonographic techniques and approaches are described, with reference to other imaging modalities. More detailed features of specific diagnoses are presented, and, specifically, tumors of low malignant potential are discussed in more detail. Clinical considerations and management are also discussed.
