L’embolie pulmonaire hydatique est une entité rare mais grave. Elle complique la rupture d’un kyste hydatique dans la circulation veineuse de retour souvent d’origine hépatique ou la rupture endocavitaire d’un kyste hydatique du cœur droit. Elle peut être unique ou multiple. L’objectif de ce travail est de rapporter une entité rare d’embolie pulmonaire et décrire son aspect en angioscanner thoracique. Les auteurs rapportent cinq cas d’embolie pulmonaire hydatique admise dans un tableau d’embolie pulmonaire. L’imagerie en coupe surtout l’angioscanner thoracique a fait le diagnostic et a permis de rechercher d’autre localisation hydatique. Le traitement est mal codifié et dont le pronostic est réservé.

Hydatid pulmonary embolism is a rare but serious condition. It complicates the rupture of a hydatid cyst in the venous circulation returning from the liver or rupture of an intracardiac hydatid cyst of the right heart. Multiple and unique cysts can be encountered. The objective of this study was to report a rare entity of pulmonary embolism and describe its appearance on the chest CT angiography. We report five cases of hydatid pulmonary embolism with an array of explorations. Selective imaging, particularly CT chest angiography, established the diagnosis and allowed search for other localizations. There is no established therapeutic consensus and the prognosis is poor.
