The Journal of Frailty & Aging (JFA) is a fully digital, gold open-access, peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing research in aging and age-related (sub)clinical conditions. The journal focuses on publishing high-quality articles that explore the social, biological, and clinical factors underlying the maintenance and decline of intrinsic capacity, as well as the onset and progression of frailty, in older adults.
JFA is organized into five distinct sections:
The Journal of Frailty & Aging welcomes a range of submission types - including original research papers, review articles, case reports, controversies, letters to the Editor, and book reviews - addressing intrinsic capacity, frailty, and aging. Manuscripts are evaluated by the editorial team and, where appropriate, undergo peer review by expert reviewers selected by the editors. JFA particularly encourages contributions from researchers and clinicians across diverse backgrounds and specialties, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to healthy aging, intrinsic capacity maintenance, and frailty prevention.
The Journal of Frailty & Aging is indexed in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Medline, PubMed Central (PMC), Web of Science (ESCI), and Scopus.
