• | All patients who have experienced encephalitis should undergo evaluation three months after the acute episode. |
• | In the absence of new symptoms during follow-up, routine brain imaging and EEG are not recommended. |
• | Any anti-seizure treatment initiated or pursued in a patients with encephalitis must be assessed by a neurologist. |
• | A caregiver should be present during all interveiws with the patient. |
