Being invited to take part in a collegial meeting to decide on deep and continuous sedation for a patient, to be maintained until death, is not a trivial matter for nursing staff. It is even less so when a secretary, rather than a caregiver, is invited. However, considering that collegiality does not stop at the white coat can teach us about interdisciplinary by admitting the presence of these non-healthcare workers, who nevertheless contribute to care without bearing the title.
