Bartonella quintana est une bactérie intracellulaire facultative responsable d’endocardites à hémocultures négatives dont le diagnostic est souvent tardif. La présence d’une atteinte rénale a été exceptionnellement rapportée dans ce contexte. Nous présentons le cas d’un homme âgé de 54 ans atteint d’une endocardite à Bartonella quintana compliquée d’insuffisance rénale aiguë par glomérulonéphrite proliférative et d’érythroblastopénie.

Bartonella quintana is a facultative intracellular bacteria responsible of negative blood culture endocarditis whose diagnosis is often delayed. The occurrence of renal involvement has been exceptionally described in this context. We report the case of a 54-year-old man presenting with Bartonella quintana endocarditis complicated by proliferative glomerulonephritis with acute kidney injury and erythroblastopenia.
