Ces derniers sont primordiaux car ils peuvent potentialiser ou non le pansement primaire.

Il s’agit d’un pansement protecteur, de renforcement et de recouvrement.

Dans la pratique, le plus souvent ce sont les infirmiers qui ont la responsabilité de ce choix, en prescrivant le pansement le plus adapté à la plaie.
