L’évolution annoncée de la traçabilité “globale” des instruments chirurgicaux lors des différentes étapes de stérilisation vers la traçabilité individuelle à l’instrument (T2I) a pour but d’améliorer la qualité des soins et la sécurité du patient tout au long de sa prise en charge.

Pouvant être perçue comme une contrainte supplémentaire de prime abord, la T2I devrait, à terme, optimiser la gestion de l’instrumentation chirurgicale, tant pour les services de stérilisation que pour les blocs opératoires.

The announced changes to the ‘global’ traceability of surgical instruments during the different stages of sterilisation towards individual instrument traceability (T2I) aim to improve the quality of care and the safety of patients throughout their treatment. Although it may be perceived as an additional constraint at first glance, T2I should, eventually, optimise the management of surgical instrumentation, both for the sterilisation services as well as the operating theatres.
