Abstract |
In order to understand the relationship between the morphology and the functionality of articular surfaces, a unified representation has to be used. To this end the theory of ruled surfaces is considered. Both aspect of the problem are represented using such surfaces. Applied to a 3D navigation system it will allow surgeons to use new surgery procedures. Another objective is to establish an atlas of the morphofunctional signature of joint pathologies.
