L’éducation thérapeutique des patients atteints de DMLA exsudative commence à se développer avec une première autorisation ARS Occitanie en 2016. Prédisposés pour une approche éducative, les orthoptistes formés à l’éducation thérapeutique ont un rôle important et peuvent ainsi élargir leur champ de compétences pour une meilleure prise en charge des patients.

Therapeutic education of patients with exudative AMD begins to develop with a first authorization from ARS Occitanie in 2016. Predisposed for an educational approach, orthoptists trained in therapeutic education have an important role and can thus broaden their field of expertise to better patient care.
