Pour la prise en soin d’un patient présentant une déficience visuelle, la collaboration instructeur de locomotion (IL)–orthoptiste (O) n’est plus à démontrer. Elle va au-delà du rôle de l’O mesurant la vision du patient, et de celui de l’instructeur s’occupant de la sécurité de ses déplacements. Pourquoi, en quoi et à quels moments précis ? Cet article propose une réflexion via le cas de Mme. B.

In the care of a visually impaired patient, the collaboration between a locomotion instructor (IL) and an orthoptist (O) is well established. It goes beyond the role of the O measuring the patient's vision, and that of the instructor looking after the safety of the patient's movements. Why, in what way and at what precise moments?
