La maternité du centre hospitalier universitaire de Clermont-Ferrand, située sur le site Estaing, s’engage depuis plusieurs années dans une démarche plus écoresponsable : soins quotidiens repensés, formation d’une partie des personnels – sages-femmes, auxiliaires de puériculture et agents des services hospitaliers – sur les principaux polluants, création de dispositifs d’accompagnement, etc. Tous ces travaux ont abouti à l’obtention, en décembre 2021, du label Très haute qualité en santé environnementale “maternité écoresponsable”.

The maternity ward at Clermont-Ferrand’s Estaing university hospital has been committed to a more eco-responsible approach for several years now, with a rethink of day-to-day care, training for some staff - midwives, nursery assistants and hospital service staff - in the main pollutants, and the creation of support systems. All this work has culminated in the award, in December 2021, of the Très haute qualité en santé environnementale “maternité écoresponsable” label.
