Introduction |
Social functioning is an individual's ability to interact effectively and appropriately with his or her social environment. In psychiatry, acting on social functioning is necessary to reduce the intensity of symptoms and promote patient life in the community. This study proposes a cross-cultural validation of the Social Functioning Questionnaire (SFQ) in Moroccan dialectal Arabic.
Methods |
This work consists of creating a translated version according to a rigorous methodology, including direct and reverse translation, as well as evaluation by linguistic experts. A sample of 160 participants was then selected to evaluate the psychometric properties of the SFQ in a statistical study.
Results |
The validation study showed high acceptability and reliability, with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.803. The results also showed good reproducibility, with perfect inter-observer stability between the test and the retests.
Conclusion |
This version of the SFQ is reliable and valid for measuring social functioning in our Moroccan population.

Introduction |
Le fonctionnement social est la capacité d’un individu à interagir efficacement et de manière appropriée avec son environnement social. En psychiatrie, agir sur le fonctionnement social est nécessaire pour réduire l’intensité des symptômes et promouvoir la vie des patients dans la communauté. Ce travail propose une validation interculturelle du questionnaire de fonctionnement social (QFS) en arabe dialectal marocain.
Méthodes |
Ce travail consiste en la création d’une version traduite selon une méthodologie rigoureuse, comprenant une traduction directe et inversée, ainsi qu’une évaluation par des experts linguistiques. Ensuite, un échantillon de 160 participants a été sélectionné pour évaluer les propriétés psychométriques du SFQ dans une étude statistique.
Résultats |
L’étude de validation a montré une grande acceptabilité et fiabilité avec un coefficient alpha de Cronbach de 0,803. Les résultats montrent aussi une bonne reproductibilité avec une parfaite stabilité inter-observateur entre le test et les retests.
Conclusion |
Cette version du SFQ est fiable et valide pour mesurer le fonctionnement social dans notre population marocaine.
