Mesenteric chylous cyst - 17/08/11
| Commentary Chylous cysts of the mesentery are rare and usually present with abdominal pain and intestinal obstruction. Pain may worsen after a meal, as the cyst enlarges from increased lymph flow. A CT may show a characteristic miscible fat-fluid interface. There is no significant malignant potential, and, so, endoscopic resection can be done if anatomically possible. Lawrence J.
