Although an extremely rare neoplasm, orbital mesenchymal chondrosarcoma has a characteristic radiologic appearance that allows the radiologist to suggest the diagnosis. Suspicion of this lesion preoperatively can be of great value to the ophthalmologist because it tends to produce profuse bleeding upon biopsy. This article reviews the clinical presentation, pathologic features, and radiologic findings of the small number of cases reported in the literature to date.
