Suzanne Hugonnier, médecin de formation, s’est intéressée à l’orthoptie en collaborant avec son mari, René Hugonnier, ophtalmologiste. Après avoir créé l’école d’orthoptie de Lyon ils ont tous deux publié un des ouvrages essentiels à la profession.

Having trained as a doctor, Suzanne Hugonnier, became interested in orthoptics in collaboration with her husband the eye specialist Réné Hugonnier. Once they had founded the Orthoptics School in Lyons they published one of the fundamental books on the profession.
