• | Cavernous malformations may rarely appear as a differential diagnosis of intradural and extramedullary lesions at cervical stage. |
• | Cervical intradural extramedullary cavernous malformations may appear as a very rare cause of acute and spontaneously resolutive episodes of hydrocephalus. |
• | Hydrocephalus in case of extra-axial cavernoma may appear due to recurrent bleeding of the lesion. |
• | Assessment of the spinal cord should always be considered for hydrocephalus and subarachnoid hemorrhage without etiology. |
