Au sein de notre établissement de santé, une équipe de préparateurs en pharmacie hospitalière (PPH) de la pharmacie à usage intérieur exerce une activité de gestion des stocks de médicaments dans les unités de soins. Afin de renforcer leurs compétences autour du patient et en lien avec les équipes soignantes, le développement d’activités de pharmacie clinique (PC) en lien avec le pharmacien est envisagé. L’objectif de cette enquête est d’évaluer la perception des PPH sur la place de la PC dans leur exercice professionnel. Un questionnaire anonyme a été diffusé du 12 août au 20 septembre 2022 auprès des PPH. Le taux de participation est de 76,2 %. La majorité des PPH (81,3 %) est intéressée par des activités de PC et 96,6 % d’entre eux estiment pertinent leur implication dans cette activité en raison de leur intégration dans les services. Cependant, 50 % des PPH ont des craintes quant à la réalisation d’une activité de PC liée à un manque de confiance en leurs connaissances (75 %), une appréhension liée aux responsabilités portées par cette activité (43,8 %), une appréhension du contact avec les patients (37,5 %). Ce travail montre une réelle volonté de nos PPH de s’engager dans la PC. Afin de mener à bien notre projet en prenant en compte les attentes des PPH, l’intégration des PPH dans les activités de PC et notamment dans le processus de conciliation médicamenteuse s’accompagne d’une démarche « formation, évaluation, habilitation » permettant de valider les compétences acquises et de sécuriser les PPH dans leur exercice professionnel.

In our hospital, a team of hospital pharmacy technicians, belonging to the pharmacy department, manages drug stocks in care units. To strengthen their skills around the patient, the development of clinical pharmacy missions in connection with the pharmacist is considered. The aim of this study was to assess the perception of hospital pharmacy technicians on the place of clinical pharmacy in their professional practice. An anonymous questionnaire was distributed from August 12th to September 20th, 2022 to hospital pharmacy technicians involved in the management of drug stocks. Thirty-two hospital pharmacy technicians responded to the survey, representing a participation rate of 76.2%. The majority of respondents (81.3%) are interested in clinical pharmacy activities and 96.6% of them consider their involvement in this activity relevant because of their integration into the care units. However, 50% of respondents have fears about carrying out a clinical pharmacy activity because of a lack of confidence in their knowledge (75%), apprehension related to the responsibilities carried by this activity (43.8%), apprehension of contact with patients (37.5%). This work shows a real desire of our hospital pharmacy technicians to engage in clinical pharmacy. In order to successfully complete our project while considering the expectations of hospital pharmacy technicians, the integration of hospital pharmacy technicians in clinical pharmacy activities and in particular in the medication reconciliation process is accompanied by the “training, assessment, accreditation” approach to validate the skills acquired and to secure pharmacy technicians in their professional practice.
